The 82nd Oscars Academy awards which was built with hype and excitement with lot of gossip mongering going on as all wanted to know who will be the darling of the night. At last as the evening grew darker the lady who never thought that she will ever be standing at such a stage won the Best directors award. Kathryn Bigelow became the first women director to win the award and it was a fitting tale for a women to win it on the eve of Womens day when the whole world was looking for empowerment of women. The Hurt Locker which also won the best film award and swept the Oscars made the evening really memorable for Kathryn Bigelow.
